Being based in our Calgary office, the ideal candidate will support the hydrogeology team with a wide variety of projects. The primary role will be to conduct field work, such as groundwater monitoring and sampling, while being trained and assisted by an experienced hydrogeologist. The candidate will also assist with report writing, data analysis, and may also have the opportunity to support the environmental team with field programs, depending on workload. - Current registration, or recent graduation, from an undergraduate or graduate university hydrogeology program.
- Relevant courses taken, and learnings from those courses.

- Experience that may have provided skills relevant to the job (i.e. customer/client relations, team settings, etc.)

- Past work experience in a hydrogeological or environmental sciences field.
A Little More About the Role
Responsibilities:

The primary role will be to conduct field work, such as groundwater monitoring and sampling, while being trained and assisted by an experienced hydrogeologist. The candidate will also assist with report writing, data analysis, and may also have the opportunity to support the environmental team with field programs, depending on workload. Travel will be required, but is typically less than average in the environmental consulting industry. A typical work week could include:
- Conducting hydrogeological field work, such as: water source and monitoring well drilling and installation, hydraulic conductivity and pumping tests and groundwater monitoring and sampling for a wide variety of municipal and industrial clients.
- Preparing high quality field documentation and conducting detailed data analysis.
- Assisting with the preparation of and authoring technical reports such as hydrogeological assessments, regulatory applications and proposals.
- Liaise with the hydrogeology team, internal and external clients, answering a wide range of hydrogeological questions.
- Travel as required for field programs (Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan) and working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- A valid driver’s licence is required
