- P.Eng. designation with registration or eligibility for registration with EGBC
- Demonstrated ability to win and lead BC Ministry of Transportation projects
- Seismic design experience
- Experience managing a team of engineers and technologists
- Proficiency with CSA S6 Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code
- Proficiency with analysis and design software

- Pedestrian bridge, heavy civil and/or buildings experience
A Little More About the Role
Responsibilities:
Working together as One ISL, this role will require you to balance the needs of your immediate team’s project delivery and that of the larger organization. Because of this, you will also have the opportunity to work on Alberta Transportation and Saskatchewan Ministry of Transportation projects.
Key to your success will be your ability to:
- Lead project teams through effective management and coordination of design engineers, technicians, and field engineers
- Leverage your effective communication, interpersonal and analytical skills to collaborate and coordinate with other ISL disciplines to meet multi-discipline and client needs
- Complete assessments and prepare reports for new design, load ratings, and rehabilitation/retrofit of existing structures
- Assume responsibility for structural design as Engineer of Record
- Support construction administration objectives and perform construction field reviews
- Review shop drawings and other submittals during construction phase, respond to RFIs
- Write technical memos and reports
- Participate in project meetings
- Observe and maintain quality assurance practices and documentation standards on all projects
- Assemble and review structural deliverables in collaboration with other team members
- Collaborate with, advise, and assist team in other groups and offices
- Maintain and build strong client relationships
- Lead business development through proposal writing, client meetings, conferences, mixers, and development of appropriate marketing materials
- Develop, guide and mentor staff
