With over $1.5 billion in assets, located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, NECU has an exceptional opportunity for a Vice President of Operations to strategically ensure a culture of outstanding internal-customer and member service levels. This individual will leverage sound planning and innovation that drive processes and systems through various business channels. 

Reporting to the SVP, Chief Technology Officer, the incoming leader provides a strategic and innovative approach to NECU’s financial, operational functions to include card operations, wires, ACH, Draft, EFT, and ATM programs and processing, payments processing/problem resolution, loss/fraud prevention, and member records management. 

The incumbent must collaborate with senior leaders to establish operational business initiatives, plan effective solutions, and recommend alternative solutions that are in alignment with best-practice standards for governance and controls within assigned functions. A thought leader working with all levels of staff who thrives on coaching, developing, and mentoring their direct reports to consistently improve efficiencies within the division.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience plus ten years’ financial institution expertise is required.  Excellent working knowledge of payment network operations, ATM programs and services, and 15 plus years’ experience in the position of increasing management responsibility is a necessity in this role. Demonstrated negotiation and vendor management skills with exceptional communication skills are essential.
