We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Product Owner to join the ranks of Milwaukee’s premier agency, Laughlin Constable. In this work hard, play hard environment, you will be responsible for driving and defining the launch of new digital products and services for our clients. A strong candidate will have experience with Agile methods, such as Scrum, including owning, prioritizing and maintaining a product backlog. They will demonstrate an ability to empathize with user needs, document and capture requirements, employ savvy communication skills to negotiate across internal team and clients while being an advocate for delivering the most value possible. Our ideal team member will have familiarity building business cases using data driven recommendations to deliver high-quality digital work that exceeds our client’s expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Responsible for aligning product vision with product value through continuous refinement of the Product Backlog
  • Responsible for effective Product Backlog management by gathering input and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and clients – including the Scrum team
  • Accountable for ensuring appropriate levels of transparency based on the needs of stakeholders and clients
  • Partner with stakeholders and clients to define Product Roadmap and Product Backlog
  • Work with stakeholders, clients, and Scrum team to forecast and plan using an iterative and incremental approach to manage complexity, change, and the realities of business obligations 
  • Accountable for ensuring the value the Scrum team provides is optimized and brought to market in a timely manner, and for prioritizing all Product Backlog items
  • Responsible to ensure the Scrum team has the needed business and functional requirements in order to partner with them in creating valid user stories, acceptance criteria and other artifacts
  • Evaluate industry trends and business opportunities for strategic planning
  • Collaborate with Analytics, UI/UX teams, Design and Creative within cross functional Scrum team, and clients to establish timeline workflows and goals
  • Ensure client satisfaction with product deliverables
 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in business, computer science, or related field; master’s preferred
  • 5-7 years previous experience as a Product Owner or a related field
  • Product Owner (PSPO) certification preferred but not required
  • Scrum Master (PSM) certification preferred but not required
  • In-depth understanding of Agile software development methods, such as the Scrum framework
  • Experience working with Agile Boards or other Agile software 
  • Experience in understanding SDLC methodologies with an emphasis on Agile
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to business and technical resources
  • Demonstrated ability in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to understand technical and business concepts quickly
  • Experience with technical requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, use case development, process flow diagrams
  • Experience working with knowledge & content management systems
  • Experience with infrastructure environment is a plus
  • Domain experience in healthcare industry is a plus
  • Sitecore platform experience is a plus
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams, in-house and remote
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, UI/UX team, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel to remote work sites for clients as needed
