As a As a Senior QA Automation Engineer you will use your knowledge of scalable test automations frameworks to build and grow the automation practice at LC.  You’ll leverage mid to large scale web and mobile projects working in close collaboration with software engineers, product managers, and business analyst in a fast-pace, dynamic environment.

You will bring your passion and expertise for developing and deploying quality products to our QA team and help grow and evolve the practice under the direction of our Director of Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities
  • Architect scalable and reusable test automation frameworks, establishing and growth the automation practice.
  • Create project level automation test plans for functional and integration testing.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to review system requirements and technical design documents and ensure new features are developed using automation in mind.
  • Setup and support of selenium grid, automation metrics
  • Recommend automation process improvements to management to provide operational efficiencies.
  • Integrate automation with continuous integration and deployment pipelines by collaborating with DevOps
  • Partner with the dev team and train them on Test Automation best practices.
  • Make modifications to automation jobs and schedules for jobs in non-production environment.
  • Research and recommend emerging tools, frameworks and methodologies to match innovation and continuous improvement goals and initiatives of the organization
Job Requirements
  • Senior level automation scripting experience and building or maintaining multiple automated test frameworks, driving and defining test needs, and establishing automation practices.
  • Experience with structuring the automated testing tasks on multiple projects, estimating schedules, resources and dependencies.
  • Experience with building quality gates in CICD pipelines, working closely with dev ops team.
  • Experience in developing test automation of RESTful APIs or Microservices.
  • Coding experience with one or more primary languages (i.e. Java, C#) and ability to independently create and write automation scripts
  • Strong experience with Selenium, TDD/BDD, Cucumber Feature File, Ruby Step Definition or equivalent tools and techniques
  • Must have strong SQL skills, experience with MS SQL server preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum preferred
  • Experience using any of the leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) a strong plus
  • Candidates will have experience or educational background equating a B.S. in a technology related and 5-8+ years of hands-on experience.
