We’re looking for a results-driven Accounts Receivable Representative.  The successful candidate will interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues, make daily collection calls, and work in conjunction with Branch Staff, Regional Leaders and members of the Credit Management team.

  • Make daily collection calls; send out customer statements if requested; update contact information and document payment information
  • Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues, coordinating efforts with branch staff, Corporate Account Managers, Regional Leaders and members of the Credit Management team.
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts and monitoring for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Conduct account research and analysis, identifying necessary process adjustments
  • Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are followed
  • Communicate with Credit Management team upon any material changes in the situation of financial positions of important customers
  • Communicate with customers to achieve improvement in application of cash, collections and processing of credits
  • Customer maintenance: keep up to date contact information, ensure customers receive their invoices
  • Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to negotiate and resolve potential conflict
  • High degree of accuracy, strong attention to detail and organization
  • Fluent in Excel. Knowledge of filters and vlookup is a must
  • Strong research skills and reporting results
  • Ability to manage high email volume in Outlook
  • Ability to analyze data and related database structures
  • Data base entry skills
  • Able to work independently on projects to completion
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable clerk with 3-5 years’ experience
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office – in particular Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong knowledge in Peoplesoft, Open Invoice, Ariba, Tungsten, Coupa and other internet portals
  • Credit Policies and Procedures
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting or financial management principles education
  • Credit management practices
  • Customer service training
