Restaurant Host/Hostess (Pompano Beach; Premier Edge Services)

As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for exceeding the guests' expectations by providing them with friendly, prompt and attentive service that is tailored to the guests’ preferences. The Host/Hostess will be required to greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner. The right team player will help set the pace of the dining room as you seat the guests in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to the service staff.

Host/Hostess Responsibilities:

• Answer phones within 3 rings and schedule reservations.
• Provide guests with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods.
• Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed.
• Rotate seating between different stations to ensure even workloads for waitstaff.
• Have complete menu knowledge.
• Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment.
• Greet guests with warm, friendly, inviting smile and body language as soon as they walk in.

Host/Hostess skills:

• 1+ years customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Open Table system experience preferred.
• Team Leader who looks for ways to help out other employees whenever possible.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Flexible schedule, particularly for weekends.
• Friendly, open disposition.
• Ability to work 6+ hours on your feet at a time.
• Able to give positive feedback and/or constructive criticism.

Salary: $12.00-$14.00 per hour
