Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Brand Leadership – Uphold, promote, and leverage the association brand internally and externally by ensuring visual creative and verbal content meet brand standards and counseling association staff and member companies on standards and best practices. Oversee relationship with member company partners, external creative agencies and manage creative and production resources.
  • Content Marketing – Lead and support the association’s efforts to create and distribute valuable, relevant and consistent content to raise awareness of the midstream industry’s vital role in energy delivery and bring awareness of GPA Midstream’s member companies’ activities. Content should drive to attract and retain committee members, increase association membership and improve attendance at association meetings and training functions. Deliver creative and compelling content across all communications channels.
  • Website/App – Provide creative direction for design of digital properties including,,, and the MidstreamGo! app. Advise on content and user experience enhancements. Manage and work closely with outside agencies to integrate consistent messaging. Provide creative input and drive production of major strategic initiatives such as the redesign of websites and the association’s digital strategy.
  • Social media – Develop and expand a stronger social media presence across all relevant platforms.
  • Sponsorships/Business Development – Oversees and coordinates with Events Manager who is responsible for identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of event sponsors. Supervises direct sponsorship sales responsibilities and for sponsor contact and ensures all correspondence, information and benefits related to sponsorship sales/retention meets highest standards. Coordinates with staff on all sponsor-related details and deliverables. Continually reviews and seeks opportunities for new revenue sources associated with events.
  • Event Management – Oversee annual convention and annual tech conference, including budgeting, planning, tracking, solicitation, reporting and coordination of event with Program Committees, Events Manager and outside vendors. Oversee work with contract resources to develop and implement effective and efficient registration processes and production products.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a similar field and 10 years’ experience in marketing and public relations. Event planning experience is a plus.
  • Experience building relationships with individuals and organizations, based upon a common vision for, and valuation of, the organization (measured through sponsorship sales and sponsor retention)
  • Planning and organizing: thinks and plans logically and builds partnerships to efficiently and effectively achieve measurable goals
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders including senior executives in a professional, fast paced environment
  • Impeccable organization and efficiency skills; strong attention to detail
  • A proven track record of leading a creative team in the execution of projects ranging from thought leadership to full redesign and deployment of marketing programs
  • Strong project management and process implementation skills

  • Incumbent Events Manager located in Tulsa, OK that has been in place since October 2019.
  • Open position to add events support or communications support at Vice President’s discretion.
