TRAFFIX is looking for an Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping our internal communications, building employee engagement, and planning events that reinforce our collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

What You'll Do:
Internal Communications
  • Develop and implement internal communications strategies to inform, align, and inspire employees.
  • Manage regular content creation including weekly newsletters, leadership messages, and updates on company initiatives.
  • Coordinate communication around key internal events and campaigns.
  • Support managers in delivering clear and consistent messaging, especially during periods of change.
  • Oversee the evolution of our intranet to ensure it remains an effective communication platform.

Employee Engagement
  • Run internal surveys and engagement programs, using results to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as liaison with key partners (e.g., Big Brothers Big Sisters, Women in Trucking) and champion charitable initiatives.
  • Launch and manage programs and team-building initiatives.
  • Provide communication support to internal committees and resource groups (e.g., DEI, Employee Experience).

Event Management
  • Plan and coordinate a wide range of corporate events—from leadership conferences and volunteer outings to holiday parties and virtual experiences.
  • Manage all event logistics, including vendor sourcing, budgeting, and travel support.
  • Source and distribute swag kits and employee engagement rewards.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, event planning, or related fields.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for culture and storytelling.
  • Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Office and internal communication platforms (e.g., SharePoint or intranet systems).
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a collaborative team environment.
