EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- The Director of Converting Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Converting Departments.
- This person must lead all aspects of the operation in a manner that delivers on key performance indicators in order to deliver manufacturing and P&L commitments.
- This person will work with the Sales and Distribution teams to ensure consistent finished goods are delivered to customers as committed.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for all manufacturing accountabilities including safety, compliance, quality, productivity and cost.
- Manage teams in a manner that supports teamwork and development.
- Develop annual converting budget, approve and monitor expenditures, report variances to budget.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that maximize productivity, minimize waste and minimize operating cost.
- Lead product development activities to support improved quality and innovation.
- Deliver on Sales and Customer Service commitments.
- Drive continues improvement activities to generate improvement in key performance indicators.
- Manage Converting and Distribution operations to achieve P&L objectives.
- Demonstrated commitment to and improvement in safety results.
- Current knowledge of paper converting equipment including winder, folders, saws, wrappers, and case packers.
- Ability to lead teams in a cooperative and inspirational manner.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and challenging deadlines
- Ability to develop strategic plans to ensure continuous improvement of business results.
- Strong sense of urgency and ownership
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4-year degree
- Minimum 15 years paper converting /paper manufacturing experience required with a minimum of 10 years management experience
