SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator reporting to the Converting Manager, is responsible for preparing and operating various paper product machines and supporting simple equipment and powered industrial vehicles equipped to move finished goods. 

Principal Responsibilities:
Perform safe, environmentally, and efficient equipment operation achieving targeted production goals and record accurate data on same
Problem solve minor equipment problems; perform minor adjustments to equipment
Responsible for monitoring and recording the quality of product to make sure it is not damaged and up to specifications
Accurately and consistently maintain records of production information including material usage and product yield
Prepare machine for product change over by setting correct dimensions on the machine
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-seed environment and follow standardized work in a continuous improvement environment
Adhere to all safety rules including but not limited to lock out/tag out
Safely load and unload items from machines and conveyors
Communicate, assist and share knowledge effectively with teammates through collaboration and training
Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times

Requirements:
Minimum High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Ability to understand verbal & written instructions in English including, but not limited to the ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, instruction sheets, training manuals, and other verbal/computer-based training.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high speed environment and follow standardized work in a continuous improvement environment
Ability to work as a team and independently
Must be able to wear all required personal safety equipment including eye protection, safety vest and ear protection
Attention to Detail
Pass Mechanical Reasoning Test
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Basic Computer Skills

Ability to stand, walk, bend or reaching regularly for entire shift
