ROLE
WHC Energy Services – A Surerus Murphy Company (WHC), is seeking to recruit Talent Acquisition Lead. We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Talent Acquisition Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for an individual passionate about recruitment, with the ability to build and scale the Talent Acquisition function within a fast-paced organization.

The Talent Acquisition Lead will collaborate with senior leaders to attract and retain top talent while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. A key focus will be implementing direct sourcing strategies to manage recruitment costs effectively and engage high-quality candidates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection across multiple departments.
  • Develop and execute a long-term staffing strategy that meets the organization’s evolving needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to understand staffing requirements and build targeted recruitment strategies that attract diverse talent.
  • Use direct sourcing techniques including LinkedIn Recruiter to proactively identify, engage, and and cultivate relationships with high-quality candidates, reducing reliance on external agencies and managing costs.
  • Implement employer branding initiatives and sourcing strategies to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Stay informed on recruitment trends and best practices to continuously enhance the talent acquisition function.
  • Assist hiring managers in creating job descriptions and ensure they align with organizational goals.
  • Maintain confidential HR documents and files, ensuring all required documentation is up-to-date.
  • Advise leadership on recruitment best practices, company policies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Create and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates
  • Draft and send offer letters for selected candidates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead offer negotiations, including compensation, benefits, and contractual terms, to ensure alignment with company objectives and a smooth candidate experience.
  • Support the onboarding process to ensure seamless transitions for new hires.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs and recruiting events as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality, adhering to privacy laws, employment regulations, and internal policies.
  • Ensure timely communication with candidates and hiring managers, maintaining a high level of customer service throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Manage candidate pipelines and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.
  • Use data and analytics to monitor recruitment metrics and continuously refine strategies for greater efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, universities, and other organizations to enhance the talent pipeline.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • SHRM certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience in talent acquisition or a similar role.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficiency with social media, resume databases, and professional networks
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  • Flexible to meet and adapt to constantly changing demands of the workplace. 
  • Powerful organizational skills with a very high standard of attention to detail. 
  • A business partner client orientated mind-set with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with a diverse client group.
  • Ability to work independently, with self-driven initiative and organizational skills, and within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential & sensitive information appropriately.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment marketing platforms.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is office based and will be located in The Woodlands, TX office. Travel is required to other office and field-based locations across the US & Canada.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Talent Acquisition Lead reports directly to the Director, Human Resources.
