To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking an energetic and safety conscious Millwright to join our West Edmonton team. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Safety Toolbox and Team meetings with Supervisor daily.
  • Complete Fit for Work and Field Level Hazard Assessments and Equipment Pre-Use documents.
  • Assembling and installing equipment then testing to make sure it’s working correctly.
  • Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.
  • Encourage and participate in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, performance and drive annual objectives.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other maintenance and production staff to prioritize equipment needs and repair.
  • Immediately report any concerns or issues directly to Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.

Core Competencies:
  • Mechanically inclined with an ability to install, maintain and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. Understand fitting bearings, aligning gears and shafts, attaching motors, and connecting couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
  • Work in close association with electricians and welders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to recognize the environmental factors and risks that enable and support safety in the workplace.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism always and work with limited supervision.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to complete reports as required.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet objectives/deliverables.
  • High standards for work, meticulous, with great attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Confident, resourceful, and highly motivated.
  • Possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

Education/Experience:
  • Journeymen Millwright certification
