Assisted Transportation provides non-emergency medical and student transportation for hospitals, nursing homes, and school districts.  With over 25-years of experience, Assisted Transportation is a leader in the specialized transportation industry. We are looking for a driven and motivated accounting intern with a basic understanding of financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience under the supervision of our staff.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 2-5 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Demonstrates intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements
  • Assist with billing, payroll accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
