POSITION SUMMARY:

The EDI Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the EDI Analyst, Client Experience, and customers with the successful and timely implementation and day to day management of all EDI.  The position works with the client staff, file vendors, carriers, and internal staff to ensure the delivery of high up-time and exceeding performance expectations.  

**This is an hourly position, with an hourly rate range of $22/hr - $24/hr**


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Effectively support Ameriflex Client Experience/Operations ensuring EDI data is entered accurately 
  • Make corrections to any file processing errors timely while communicating outcomes of corrections made
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ensure all production EDI are provided with 100% up-time per processing expectations
  • Instill confidence in all parties regarding company proficiency in its lines of business and EDI processing in alignment with SLAs and customer expectations
  • Serve as liaison between internal departments, EDI Vendors, and Plan Administrators
  • Make recommendations and take action to improve existing product and processes
  • Ensure sufficient backups are in place for existing processes to maintain stable operations through expected and unexpected changing environments
  • Provide updated documentation to internal and external customers pertaining to EDI technologies
  • Ensure that all daily tasks are completed timely and are in alignment with expected turnaround times for customer service

  • Ability to explain complex processes to a non-technical audience
  • Understanding of company business with an emphasis on plans
  • Be familiar with EDI terminology, EDI formats, HIPAA file formats
  • Able to listen and react appropriately to customer/vendor concerns
  • Resourceful and results oriented, driven to achieve objectives and turnaround times
  • Ability to travel, ideally once per year.
 

CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience with FSA, COBRA, Voluntary Benefits preferred
  • 1-2 years prior data entry experience is required.
