Requirements

  • Associate OR Bachelor's degree (HR, Instructional Design or similar) or an equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.

  • 1+ years' experience in curriculum development, technical writing or similar.

  • Ability to travel as needed 30%.

  • 5+ years' experience in training, instructional design, or training management with relevant Learning & Development technical experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.

  • 3+ years of successful experience working and delivering training in hybrid or virtual environments required.

  • Demonstrated consultative & credible approach, excellent communication and influencing skills.

  • Knowledge of personnel management.

  • Growth and results oriented with a passion for continuous learning and implementing effective and purposeful training methods.

Skills

  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office/365 and Learning Management Systems (LMS), including administration.

  • Documenting and teaching critical work processes

  • Understanding of HR, psychology basics, adult learning methods, the behavior of learners and signs of comprehension

  • Proven ability to pinpoint, analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources in order to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations and translate into actionable training initiatives.

  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills, organizational, time management skills

  • Demonstrated experience building rapport, training, coaching, and mentoring of new & existing employees and leadership across multiple functional areas. 

  • Demonstrated sense of personal accountability and ownership of outcomes

  • Fundamental understanding of the principles of presentation and how to engage participants.

  • Sound decision making skills.

  • Ability to effectively balance and deliver on competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow and effectively deliver oral and written instructions.

  • Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

  • Facilitating large groups and present complex information to a variety of audiences virtually, in person and utilizing a variety of mediums including digitized content, individualized learning paths, and development in the flow of work.

  • Experience working with best-in-class organizations known for service excellence, HR, talent development, and/or learning and talent management in parallel industries desired (benefits management, payroll).

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities encompass strategic planning through tactical execution, including design, implementation, and administration of learning and development programs.

  • Oversees training team for new hires and existing staff via in-person, electronic, or virtual learning.

  • Anticipate and review technology, training and resource needs to design effective programming.

  • Provide recommendations to identify and fulfill training needs and gaps by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of individuals, teams and programs.

  • Assess current and future training needs as well as the effectiveness of tools through performance data, surveys, interviews and regular collaboration with employees, managers and senior leadership. 

  • Direct structured learning experiences, monitor and report results and make applicable changes to ensure desired outcomes.

  • Design, plan, organize, or direct orientation and training programs.

  • Develop and present instructional materials using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, lectures, games, intranet pages, written reference aids and presentations.

  • Monitor, analyze, evaluate, and record training needs and activities for program effectiveness/improvement.

  • Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.

  • Manages and administers third party learning content and delivery ensuring training documentation, records management and compliance with company guidelines.

  • Performs needs analyses and consults with business leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment of learning solutions with business needs and constraints.

  • Identifies and assesses future and current training needs through job analysis, performance evaluation, career pathing and consultation in support of the talent management strategy.

  • Implements an instructionally-sound training strategy that consistently raises the level of team member performance and engagement.

  • Performs administrative responsibilities related to training materials management, attendance tracking, learning plan administration, compliance reporting and third-party content management.

  • Follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related tasks as directed by leadership.
