Position Summary:
The General Ledger Implementation Consultant at Workforce Go! plays a specialized role in aligning client accounting needs with Workforce Go! solutions, focusing on the integration of general ledger data within client accounting frameworks. This role requires working closely with clients’ accounting personnel to gather detailed requirements, design accurate reporting, and guide the programming team in developing general ledger files and reports. This position is central to ensuring a seamless transition of payroll and accounting data for clients, providing an onboarding experience that meets the unique reporting and financial structure requirements of each client.
This role is ideal for a client-focused individual with a strong foundation in accounting and payroll, along with consulting capabilities to bridge client requirements and technical implementations effectively.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Client Consultation & Discovery:

Collaborate with clients’ accounting staff to understand their specific general ledger requirements and reporting structures. (Advanced)
Guide clients in completing discovery documentation necessary to support the 
setup of general ledger projects. (Intermediate)
Gather data required for effective interface file creation if integration with external systems is necessary. (Intermediate)

Implementation & Documentation:
Utilize Workforce Go! implementation methodology to manage end-to-end general ledger integration engagements, from initial consultation through testing. (Intermediate)
Develop detailed engineer instructions for programming the general ledger interface, ensuring that custom client requirements are met. (Advanced)
Assist clients in setting up and testing general ledger systems to confirm accuracy and compatibility with accounting goals. (Intermediate)

Technical Coordination & Issue Resolution:
Translate complex client accounting needs into clear, actionable instructions for the programming team, facilitating accurate general ledger programming. (Advanced)
Address client questions on general ledger setup and make recommendations on adjustments to payroll or accounting structures to meet specific requirements. (Intermediate)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Accounting Expertise:

Deep knowledge of accounting principles, specifically payroll journal entries, with the ability to discuss accounting structures and rules specific to each client. (Advanced)

Consulting & Analytical Skills:
Demonstrated ability to interpret client needs and recommend practical solutions (Intermediate)
Experience as a Business Analyst, translating client requirements into system functionalities and ensuring desired outcomes. (Advanced)

Payroll Knowledge:
Solid understanding of payroll processes and payroll accounting structures to support effective general ledger integration. (Intermediate)

Communication & Client Relations:
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to accounting professionals and listen actively to client needs. (Advanced)
Strong customer service skills, with prior experience in a client-facing role, able to build trust and maintain professionalism. (Intermediate)

Credentials & Experience:
Education:

Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.

Experience:
3+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on payroll journal entries and general ledger integration preferred. (Intermediate)
Prior experience in consulting, accounting technology implementation, or customer service/account management, ideally in payroll or accounting contexts.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in utilizing general ledger software tools and familiarity with accounting integrations and system requirements. Preferred systems: UKG Ready, Acumatica, Sage Intacct, Sage 300 CRE, Sage 100 (Intermediate)

Travel Requirement:
Ability to travel, ideally once per year, for client engagements as needed.
 

Starting rate for this position is $65,000.00 - 75,000.00 annually plus bonus potential.
