POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Processor is responsible for processing, data entry, and maintaining participant and client records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. This role ensures the accurate and timely entry of data to support the operations of A.E. Perkins. The Operations Processor also assists with file reconciliation, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and generating reports, as needed. Success in this role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Responsibilities include:

  • Data Entry Accuracy: Enter participant and client data into internal systems with 98% accuracy, adhering to established service level agreements (SLAs) and internal standards (Advanced).

  • Client and Participant Processing: Prepare, process, and maintain existing and new client and participant records using internal systems and tools, ensuring data integrity across A.E. Perkins products and services (Intermediate).

  • Error Resolution: Research and resolve data entry and processing errors, troubleshooting issues within 24 hours to ensure timely resolution and accurate records (Intermediate).

  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams addressing inquiries and resolving issues as needed (Intermediate).

  • File Reconciliation: If requested as an audit, perform monthly reconciliation of participant and client data files, ensuring discrepancies are identified and corrected within reporting deadlines (Intermediate).

  • Multitasking and Time Management: Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, prioritizing work to meet organizational goals (Advanced).

  • Other Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall operational success of the team (Beginner).

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Written and Verbal Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences (Advanced).

  • Detail Orientation: Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to consistently maintain data accuracy and catch discrepancies (Advanced).

  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to apply critical thinking skills to analyze situations, identify potential issues, and resolve data-related problems efficiently (Intermediate).

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in navigating multiple web-based programs, as well as Google Docs and Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, and data organization (Intermediate).

  • Time Management and Multitasking: Strong ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment (Advanced).

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, providing support to colleagues and collaborating on shared tasks and projects (Intermediate).
     

CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s Degree: Required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Data Entry Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data entry required, with demonstrated success in maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines (Intermediate).

  • FSA, COBRA, Voluntary Benefits Knowledge: Preferred, with experience in processing or maintaining benefits-related data (Beginner).

  • Experience with Internal Systems: Familiarity with internal data entry systems and tools preferred (Beginner).
     

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work in an office environment; sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time; use hands to grasp and reach; occasionally stoop or kneel; see, hear, and speak with sufficient acuity to successfully perform all aspects of the job; use telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means; lift up to five pounds of weight.

Note: The pay rate for this position is between $19.00 - $21.00/hr
