Position Summary:

The Audit Assistant is responsible for supporting the Audit Manager in all aspects of internal and external technology/compliance audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves supporting external audits as well as regular internal audits, supporting annual risk assessments, and collaborating cross-functionally to help all teams within the organization manage risks and maintain compliance. 

The Audit Assistant also supports the Audit Manager in their Document Manager role, helping to organize, maintain, revise, and publish controlled documents in adherence with applicable standards and guidelines.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Internal Audit Support: Assist with internal audit activities, including information security audits, ensuring all deliverables meet established timelines, standards, and protocols. (Intermediate)

External Audit Support: Assist in external audits (ex: SOC2), coordinating with external and internal stakeholders on an as-needed basis to ensure all deliverables meet established timelines, standards, and protocols. (Intermediate)

Risk Assessment Support: Help facilitate annual security risk assessments, including coordination of and participation in meetings to discuss audit scope, testing progress. (Intermediate)

Document Management: Assist with the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Policies, and other controlled documents in collaboration with relevant departments and in adherence to security audit guidelines. (Intermediate)


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

Audit & Compliance Knowledge: Basic or intermediate understanding of audit principles, information security standards (SOC2, HITRUST), and regulatory requirements. (Beginner-intermediate)

Communication and Technical Writing Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise technical documentation. (Intermediate)

Technical Aptitude: Basic to intermediate technical aptitude and ability to learn complex technical concepts. (Beginner-intermediate)

Organizational Skills: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. (Intermediate)

Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, both independently and collaboratively. (Intermediate)

Time Management: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure. (Intermediate)

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business environments and audit requirements. (Beginner-Intermediate)

Strong attention to detail: Proven ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when processing information, handling documents, or performing other tasks that require close attention. (Beginner-Intermediate)


Credentials & Experience:

Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field is preferred but not required.

Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in auditing, compliance, technology, or a related field.


NOTE: The pay rate for this position is $60,000.00 annually with bonus potential
