Role Summary

To inspect each studio, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and attractive appearance while following the Forbes Five Star standards. Achieve a clean and crisp feel, look, smell and ambiance resulting in an impeccable first impression for each and every guest.

Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  1. Inspect each studio, ensuring a clean and crisp feel, look, smell and ambiance resulting in an impeccable first impression for each and every guest.

  2. Catch and resolve any problems or deficiencies before the guest arrives.

  3. Ensure effective and timely resolution on any problems that may impede the guest experience; effective communication with studio attendants, engineering and management.

  4. Identify areas in the studio that may need deep cleaning or maintenance.

  5. Report any “out of the ordinary” circumstances, including exceptionally dirty studios, missing items or studio status discrepancies (clean, dirty, vacant, occupied).

  6. Clean and service studios as necessary to ensure availability for guests.

  7. Graciously accommodate guest’s requests; engage each guest with a smile and appropriate hospitality greeting.

  8. Make suggestions for improvements in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenue and reducing costs.

  9. Assist in training room attendants to ensure all appropriate standards and practices are being met per the Forbes standards

  10. Display fair treatment and provide supportive documentation with respect to unmet standards to management appropriately.  Improvement will be based upon positive reinforcement, yet holding associates accountable.

  11. Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Rooms Supervisor, Housekeeping coordinator and or Assistant Director of Rooms.

Required Qualifications

  1. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, associates and management.

  2. Two years prior experience in a luxury resort.

  3. High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.

  4. Ability to read labels, instructions, checklists.

  5. Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.

  6. Ability to focus attention to details.
