Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Receive and ship goods via UPS, FEDEX, freight, companies, etc.

  • Receive and store food, beverage, stationery and related goods.

  • Pull items from storage and fill requisitions

  • Interdepartmental errands-delivering boxes

  • Assist in food and beverage pricing and ordering

  • Perform daily  food and beverage inventories and end of month count

  • Input daily paperwork so the department runs in an orderly fashion

  • Supervise the storeroom and purchasing department whenever the purchasing manager is out of house.

  • Maintenance of cleanliness and organization of the purchasing and receiving areas.


Special Projects as given by Purchasing Manager, General Manager,  Executives, Owners

Hours required: 

Full time required to work 30 plus hours weekly.

Part time required to work less than 30 hours weekly.

Scheduled hours and days may vary based on need.

At least 1 year of related experience preferred.

Experience in hotels preferred.



High School Diploma.

Bi-lingual English, Spanish beneficial.


Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write complex correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to employees of the organization. Ability to hold and comprehend phone conversations.


Mathematical Skills 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as accruals, percentages and payments.  Ability to work with ease with US dollars.


Reasoning ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems with several variables.



Use of a 10 key adding machine

Personal Computer Experience

Use of Word, Excel and Outlook and other proprietary computer programs


Certificates, licenses, registrations 

College or university qualifications beneficial.  Any in-house training sessions which the applicant has performed in past employment


Physical job Requirements (for Essential Functions only)

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying: Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying to a weight of at least 40 lbs. 

Bending/Kneeling: Constant Bending and Kneeling. Full range of movement needed for receiving and storage.

Mobility: Constant movement within hotel and loading area.

Stationary Position: Limited sitting at a desk, computer and phone use.

Continuous Standing: Required

Climbing Stairs: Climbing required

Driving: Minimal driving required. Colorado Driving License.

Work Environment: Inside 100% of an 8 hour shift. 

Hearing: Critical – Ability to answer telephone and deal with employees and customers.

Vision: Critical – Ability to deal with paperwork, and computer system.
Speech: Critical – Able to answer telephone, communicate with employees and solve problems.

Chemical Agents: General Cleaning Products. Receiving of all chemicals for the hotels
