Responsible for the overall organization and operation of the concierge staff.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
To ensure the concierge staff organizes all activity, culinary & special amenity requests for in house & arriving guests. Ensure that all guests & Team Members are handled in a personal, individual, and professional manner in person as well over the phone or email. To continually build relationships with local vendors & restaurants. Responsible for selecting and monitoring outside vendors used to fulfill guest’s requests and to ensure professionalism, quality, and consistency of those vendors. To ensure staff provides the highest possible service & product knowledge to every guest we encounter. The Chef Concierge is responsible for handling the Concierge Commission & Gratuity program including: tracking in an excel template, follow up with vendors post season, and issuing compensation. This position will ensure staff assists guests with an array of services calculated to make their stay easier and more pleasurable, including: dining reservations, transportation arrangements, activity bookings, general city information and any other service requested by the guests. The concierge is an individual dedicated to his/her profession beyond the norm, making a personal commitment to visit venues in order to enable personal recommendations. In order to perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
Minimum of 1 year of concierge experience required at 4-5 Star hotel or resort.
Extensive knowledge of the City of Aspen.
Extensive communication skills, multi-tasking, and strong follow-through skills
Supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
