Exxel Outdoors is looking for a Janitorial & Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in Reno, Nevada.

This position will primarily be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the warehouse facility and will be responsible daily, weekly, and monthly janitorial tasks.  This position will also be responsible for general warehouse duties as needed.

  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them including the use of driving a floor scrubber
  • Gather and empty trash & recyclables (corrugate and plastic)
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms
  • Service, clean and supply break rooms
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
  • Follow procedures for the use of cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Knowledge of using a hand pallet jack
  • Organize custodial closets and space
  • Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment

General Warehouse Duties:
Could include filling orders, order checking, labeling cartons, assist with cycle counts, and helping with parcel posts.

Performs duties within the guidelines of federal, state, and company safety standards and regulations to avoid and eliminate accidents.  May serve on safety committee and assists in making routing safety inspections.  Reports all unsafe conditions or acts to appropriate management personnel.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working in a janitorial role and previous warehouse experience a plus
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work as a team player in a way that is professional and enthusiastic
  • Must be able to work overtime hours when needed
  • Forklift certification a plus
