The Senior Vice President of Sales will lead a Senior sales team that will be responsible for a team of direct and indirect sales representatives and agencies in the USA and International account base. This important role will manage the sales function throughout the company for all brands, setting standards, KPI’s, selling strategies and dashboards for accountabilities.

This includes all product for this outdoor company. In addition to managing the day to day selling activities of the team, this role is directly responsible for managing select key customer relationships, budgeting and forecasting, ensuring shipments and service level expectations are being achieved, and working closely with the product development, channel marketing, and dealer service teams to ensure overall excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead selling activities to maximize sales and margin growth and the achievement of planned sales targets.  Prior account base knowledge and relationships with key buyers and management are key.
  • Manage sales representatives and select key accounts to achieve and exceed key business objectives.
  • Recruit, motivate, and evaluate professional and aggressive in-house staff and field rep force.
  • Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual budget by customer achieving sales and margin growth.
  • Manage the selling team’s SG&A budget for planned travel, key customer meetings, etc.
  • Track POS performance with key accounts to ensure products and programs are performing as planned.
  • Work closely with channel marketing team to develop and execute key customer meetings (including presentations, promotions, POP/Display, and packaging).
  • Ensure customer program sheets are accurate and kept up to date. 
  • Lead selling strategy for key customer line reviews, trade shows, and industry events. 
  • Implementation and development of continuous improvements within the company.
  • Promote the company’s winning culture in all interactions with employees, customers, vendors, etc.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales for Specialty, Mass and Military/Outdoor

QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS/BA degree and strong sales leadership experience required.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a leadership sales position with Mass and Specialty Retail environment with National Accounts (sporting goods or outdoor category a plus).
  • Responsible for a minimum of $100m in volume previously.
  • Responsible for organizations with a minimum of 20 sales representatives or independent sales groups.
  • High levels of professionalism and leadership skills. Team player who is also self-sufficient.
  • Work well under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Metrics driven, and prior experience with dashboard metric supervision and development.
  • Must be team, customer and brand focused, and very responsible. Entrepreneurial.
  • Demonstrated drive and confidence.
SKILLS
  • Must have excellent analytical and personal computer skills (preferably in Microsoft Office environment).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Must have excellent sales management communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
