Role Summary
The Restaurant Chef reports to the Executive Sous Chef and is responsible for all aspects of managing the kitchen and its personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with standards as set out by Auberge Resorts. Coordinates the purchase of all food and develops menus, maintaining food and labor costs, as well as proper hygiene and sanitation.

Required Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, decision making and teamwork skills
  • Excellent and innovative cooking and service skills. Computer literate.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours, a willingness to assist all and a problem solver.
  • A formal education in culinary arts or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in an internationally renowned five star hotel kitchen as a chef.
  • Ability to maintain approved food and labor costs.
