Role Summary
The successful candidate will be a highly energetic individual who is excited about the challenges that a high end luxury resort demands on a day to day basis. Lead Pastry Chef will manage employee performance and development through training, coaching, performance management or corrective action. Maintaining the highest of departmental standards as determined by the Resort Chef, and the guests and owners of Calistoga Ranch.

Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Daily supervision of the pastry department
  • Must be innovative, detail oriented and quality conscious
  • Must be aware of new trends in presentation and preparation
  • Seek opportunities to increase food revenue, decrease kitchen expenses and maximize departmental productivity without compromising our guests satisfaction

Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years baking experience, either as a Pastry Chef, Assistant Pastry Chef, or Lead Pastry in a similar environment.
