Role Summary
Join our team as an Expeditor and become one of the authors of our story. As part of the Auberge du Soleil family, you will be responsible for, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by keeping a steady line of communication between the kitchen and the dining room and ensuring food goes out to each table properly timed, properly temped, and looking great.

Pay Range
$30 - $35 / hour (this includes the hourly rate + tips and is an estimate based on business)

Key Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Ensure communication in the kitchen by calling out orders, getting the status on dishes, and calling the waitstaff to serve completed dishes.
  • Inform the waitstaff when certain dishes or ingredients have run out and passing food requests from the waitstaff to the kitchen.
  • Monitor the food portions on completed dishes according to restaurant standards.
  • Ensure that all orders are completed in time and with the correct priority.
  • Inspect the cleanliness, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes.
  • Perform the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.
  • Keep the expediting area clean, neat, and well-stocked.
  • Ensure all staff adheres to health and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of one-year experience in the foodservice /hospitality industry
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a luxury setting
