Candidate is responsible for the management of all aspects and functions of the Bistro & Bar outlets, in accordance with hotel standards. Candidate may be asked to assist Assistant Food and Beverage Managers in the Restaurant. We ask that our managers motivate and mentor staff, inspire and delight our guests, and commit themselves to excellence in food and beverage service. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and strong operational knowledge of restaurants and bars. Ability to understand direction, find solutions to issues as they arise, and follow through on projects to completion. Managers possess an interest in contributing to, and collaborating in, the growth and success of the Bistro & Bar and overall organization.
Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards. Candidate must have a passion for Food & Wine, and the desire to create the ultimate dining experience. Must have excellent people and management skills. Candidate must have ability to stay calm in stressful situations. Must be able to communicate effectively with the bistro & bar staff. Must be able to lead by example and create an enthusiastic working environment. Extensive knowledge of the Napa Valley, SF Dining and NY Dining is desirable. Candidate must have a flexible work schedule as well as work holidays.
High school or equivalent education required.
Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
Related hospitality experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.
