Position Overview:
The Captain/Lead Server is responsible for selling and serving food & beverages using hospitality and graciousness during every guests interactions. Duties include: clearing food & utensils from tables, resetting, bread & water service, explaining all details of the menu, monitoring guest satisfaction and assisting the kitchen in expediting the service process. Must be gracious, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of food and alcoholic beverage selections. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and quality guest experiences.

Position Qualifications:
Candidate must have prior fine dining experience, preferably in a freestanding restaurant, have a passion for food & wine, and the desire to create the ultimate dining experience. Must have excellent people and management skills and have ability to stay calm in stressful and or busy situations. Must be able to communicate effectively both with the restaurant staff, management, kitchen and the front desk. Must be able to lead by example and create an enthusiastic working environment. Extensive knowledge of the Napa Valley, SF Dining and NY Dining is desirable. Candidate must have a flexible work schedule as well as work holidays.

Basic Qualifications:
High school or equivalent education required.
Positive attitude.
Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
Related hospitality experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.
Candidate must have flexible work schedule as well and work holidays.
Must meet the minimum age requirements to work in an alcohol and food service operation.
