Secluded on nearly 10 acres on Waller Creek, the Commodore Perry Estate comprises a 10,800-square-foot home, a chapel and gardens enclosed within a walled compound in the style of an Italian country villa and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Now refreshed and refurbished as a luxury 54 room resort, the property will open in mid-2020.
Become one of the authors of our story. Join our team as Talent & Culture Manager at the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin Texas. You will report to the General Manager, with a dotted line into the VP of Talent & Culture. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Talent & Culture strategy of the hotel and supporting the General Manager in all people-related matters.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
Provide input to the business plan of the hotel and control the Talent & Culture components of this plan.
Ensure that our T&C policies and processes are adhered to and continually improved.
Manage all activities concerning recruitment of staff
Identify training and development needs, and implement a training plans to meet these needs.
Ensure a fair and attractive framework for compensation and benefits
Manage the communication of key messages, our vision and values to all staff. Promote regular two-way feedback.
Ensure we recognize and celebrate our champions on the team & we maintain a safe working environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
A detailed and up-to-date understanding of state (Texas) and federal labor law.
Prior experience as an on-property leader of the people function for a luxury hotel
Familiarity with using HR IS systems, preferably Ceridian.
