The VP Travel Industry Sales is a new role that will lead the strategic planning and sales efforts for the Travel Industry segment.  They will lead the Global Sales Office (GSO) Travel Industry Sales team as well as work collaboratively with the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Travel Industry Sales teams at Auberge Resorts Collection (ARC) portfolio of properties to set overall company strategy, strengthen our travel industry relationships and grow this segment of business. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop GSO and ARC company-wide travel industry strategic sales plans designed to meet sales goals and support ARC growing portfolio of properties.

  • Further strengthen ARC relationships with key partners including Virtuoso, AMEX, consortia and top travel industry accounts at the principal and senior leadership level.

  • Lead GSO transient sales team (currently in the US and London) and help to develop and train entire transient sales team including on-property sales talent as we continue to grow. 

  • Responsible for the planning of best-in-class events, in-market portfolio sales trips, highly effective trade show participation and familiarization trips to further build ARC and property brand awareness, strengthen relationships and drive sales. 

  • Work in collaboration with the Group Sales team to grow business in weddings and social celebrations events.

  • Expected to engage in direct sales activities with key accounts, senior travel industry leaders and top travel advisors. 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND ATTITUDES

  • 15+ years in hotel sales & management roles including experience working for luxury hotel brands

  • Has built strong relationships with key travel industry accounts including top travel advisors and key principals 

  • Excellent sales management skills to lead GSO travel industry team and set overall travel industry sales strategy for the entire ARC company 

  • Results oriented, self-motivated and strong multi-tasker with strong problem solving and negotiation skills.  Willing to “roll-up their sleeves” to get it done.  

  • Is highly collaborative in approach, has a curious mind, is open-minded to testing and trying new approaches and is motivated by being in a dynamic, growing fast-paced environment.
