Role Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Accountant to join our Auberge Family.  This role is based at our home office in Mill Valley, CA, and can work remotely.

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage employee credit card applications and charges.
  • Process accounts payable including departmental approvals, check run processes and managing paperwork at completion of the check run.
  • Manage the cash application process weekly.
  • Ensure monthly invoices and statements are accurately and timely prepared.
  • Prepare mailings and priority shipments for the Finance/Accounting Department.
  • Assist Controller with payroll system and payroll related items.
  • Assist Controller in month end close processes including prepaid entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist Controller with 401(k) administration.
  • Assist the Controller in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies.
  • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required, quite often on short notice, by the CFO or Controller.

Required qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting
  • The successful candidate will:
    • be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data and Excel
    • have excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong MS Word knowledge
    • have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work outside the core office hours as needed, with an understanding of business-critical deadlines
    • have a minimum of 5 years experience in accounting
