Role Summary
Join our Auberge family as Digital Product Manager, and be part of building something new.  This role is a one-year assignment responsible for the management and delivery of mid to large-scale interactive website design/development projects. The Project Manager works with the Digital Marketing Director and the overall Project Lead, as well as external agency teams and contractors to ensure that the project team is poised to meet the objectives and goals on-time and on-budget as well as champion quality and integrity of the end result.

The successful candidate is an enthusiastic problem solver and thrives on being engaged at all levels of the project. As the key point of contact for both the client and the project team, the Project Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of an engagement.

Core Responsibilities
The core responsibilities for this position include:
  • Direct and manage all activity related to the Sales department, ensuring service standards are followed and team members achieve their individual goals
  • Provide guidance and direction in the development of segment goals, account management and action plans
  • Responsible for overall achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, with participation in both on- and off-property activities
  • Sign-off for all sales contracts, considering the number of rooms, average rate and total revenue objectives of the hotel
  • Manage the Sales Incentive Programs
  • Oversee the integrity of sales software programs for accuracy and thoroughness
  • Prepare an annual budget and marketing plan for approval and administer that budget in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Define competitive markets(s) and defined competitive sets and their relevance to the hotel/resort based on current/future market conditions and market/industry changes and fluctuations
  • Ensure a clear understanding of the resort customers, segments, competition, and the brand positioning
  • Mobilize the right sales and marketing department resources and recommendations to deliver on goals
  • Evaluate future or advanced performance or process issues relating to market segment booking pace, channel reports, backlog, reservations pace, and conversion in an effort to identify any future revenue and performance shortfalls
  • In collaboration with home office revenue leaders conduct detailed reservations evaluation reviewing conversion, denials, inventory management and classifications, availability/yield management practices, GDS listing, call volumes and shopping Responsible for developing and managing the content development/gathering workstream of the overall project plan and working with different disciplines to execute on plans
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of the project team (agency) and ensure work is progressing as planned. Work with project team and be actively involved in all aspects of the work and key deliverable dates
  • Manage schedules, assets, budgets and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon.
  • Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize workstream deliverables and resources based on scope of work and project goals
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance
  • Consistently identify needs that clients may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs
  • Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to clients, team members and senior management on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels
  • Proactively identify opportunities and deliver improvements
  • Partner with project team leads to present work


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience managing interactive projects from discovery and design to asset gathering and implementation
  • Successful project management experience with focus on task completion
  • Ability to understand and document project requirements and dependencies (business and functional)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Experience with common communications tools
  • Experience with the design and development of websites and an understanding of web technologies and third-party applications and platforms

Preferred Qualifications
  • Mobile and social media/community experience an asset
  • Exposure in the luxury hospitality field
