Role Summary
Join our team as Director Financial Reporting & Analysis and become one of the authors of our story.  As part of the Auberge family, you will report directly to the Vice President of Finance, Operations with primary responsibility for leading financial analysis and reporting for Auberge Resorts Collection’s hotel, resort and residential properties. This role leads and supports the annual operational and capex budgeting process, provides analytical support for the management company and for Auberge Resorts’ ownership and leadership team as needed. 

Core Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Reviews monthly property results and forecasts, presenting issues and opportunities for improvement; recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and through comparative analyses.
  • Guides cost analyses by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, providing trends and forecasts, explaining processes and techniques and recommending actions.
  • Develops and maintains monthly/quarterly financial reporting, charts and presentations.
  • Leads annual operational budgeting process by preparing reports, participating in review meetings and providing analyses.
  • Leads annual CAPEX budgeting process by preparing reports, participating in review meetings and providing analyses.
  • Performs project work, as assigned, to include review, analysis, and providing conclusions and recommendations on business scenarios and situations.
  • Serves as resource for other departments, including operations, sales & marketing and development, by providing benchmarking and ad hoc analyses.
  • Prepares regular financial analyses and presentations for the CFO and COO.
  • Creates and prepares quarterly and annual reports for ARC ownership and property owners.
  • Provides financial analysis and reporting for the management company.
  • Identifies and develops financial initiatives based on benchmarking to improve property performance.
  • Writes reports using Adaptive Insights for properties as well as ad hoc reports for the Auberge leadership and corporate finance teams.
  • Creates and maintains Excel and/or Adaptive Insights models for the benefit of the properties and/or various home office departments. Examples include returns analyses, F&B profit center models, operating scenario models and forecast trending models. 
  • Proactively leads evaluation of business intelligence and/or other financial systems and tools.
  • Helps position the finance and accounting function to scale the Company for near- and long-term growth.
  • Engages with and supports property ownership through strategic analysis, budget and forecast consolidated reporting and support of projects, ROIs and cash flow.
  • Performs other duties as directed, developed, or assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of hotel financial reporting systems and policies and procedures
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Experience with financial reporting, forecasting and business intelligence systems/tools
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
  • Experience with Visual Basic in compiling and created advanced reporting
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal/written), with proven ability to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings with various stakeholders
  • Ability to understand and analyze a wide range of business problems and issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate ideas and suggestions to all levels of staff and ownership groups
  • Serves as a role model for others by demonstrating the highest level of business conduct and ethical principles.
  • Continuously seeks to improve his/her own performance
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Experience with Power BI or other analytical software
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights
  • Experience with G Suite
  • Experience with Great Plains
  • On-property hotel experience

Travel Requirements
  • Travel to hotels, resorts and home office as required
  • Infrequent travel to industry conferences
