Role Summary
Join our team as Director, Learning & Development and become one of the authors of our story.  As part of the Auberge family, you will lead the overall learning & development initiatives for the Collection, on a global basis.  This role will strengthen the Auberge learning approach, design, develop, and deliver learning initiatives, and ensure our learning approach contributes to the on-going development and retention of team members.

Core Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Strengthen learning and development initiatives across the Collection
  • Select and launch a learning management system
  • Develop and deliver a learning curriculum for all levels (home office, RVPs, GMs, Executive Committee, Department Heads, Managers, Line Staff)
  • Develop and deliver the Manager-in-Training programs and Leadership Learning series
  • Launch updated ARC service standards in a great learning format
  • Develop audit tool for ARC service standards
  • Update content for all classes (on-line, instructor led)
  • Maintain compliance with local training requirements
  • Select vendors to deliver compliance training, and maintain vendor relationships
  • Maintain COVID-response health & safety audit tool
  • Upskill local talent & culture teams on delivering training
  • Influence leadership to support learning initiatives
  • Coach property managers on how to deliver just in time training and in the moment service coaching
  • Develop onboarding experiences that align to our soulful journey approach
  • Enliven the ENRICH values in all learning content
  • Identify new and creative ways to target adult learning through new approaches, technologies; embrace a blended learning approach
  • Develop the annual L&D budget
  • Partner with the GMs and home office to develop the annual L&D plans for each location
  • Partner with recruiters across the collection to identify learning needs for new joiners and develop solutions
  • Partner with talent & culture to identify learning needs as a result of annual talent review outcomes, and develop solutions to address the needs

Required Qualifications/skills
  • 5+ years as a learning specialist
  • Luxury hotel background
  • Awareness of a variety of learning styles (classic and contemporary) and how to tailor curriculum to each audience
  • Bachelor’s degree (business, hospitality, HR, human development)
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated project management expertise

Preferred Qualifications
  • ATD certification
  • Spanish language
