Role Summary
Join our team as Director, Curation and become one of the authors of our story.  As part of the Auberge family, you will report to the Chief Creative Officer and will hold a critical role to develop, source and design the small touches that make the guest experience luxurious, unique and memorable.  This role combines an expertise in retail, design, curation and sourcing. 

Core Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Lead the curation & sourcing of Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) in partnership with designers, owners and hotel teams:
    • Develop mood boards for OS&E 
    • Lead the OS&E process for all guest facing items for new properties, including uniform and F&B
    • Support updating the OS&E for CAPEX projects & design projects at current properties
    • Support the experience team in finding the right OS&E to bring an experience to life
  • As a part of OS&E development, select partnerships that enhance perception of the brand and drive excellence:
    • Create & manage design partnerships with manufacturers, home designers, & interior designers
    • Develop custom designs for specific one of a kind OS&E at properties that will also then be available to sell via retail
  • Use OS&E touchpoints to strengthen vibrancy/aesthetic at hotels:
    • Develop "Design Standards" or playbook for what Auberge Resorts Collection brings to the table as the operator
    • Develop moodboard & playbook for florals + tablescapes
    • Support properties by updating public space styling on a seasonal basis
  • Provide Home Office design support for office experience and events:
    • Manage home office design projects
    • Manage the design of the General Managers Leadership Conference & other company-wide events

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field, retail, design, product sourcing
  • Bachelor’s degree (business, design)
  • Skilled in use of programs like GSuite
  • Skills in design programs
  • Strong interest in luxury hospitality
  • Collaborative, with strong ability to influence
  • Takes initiative when given minimal direction/instruction
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising on the quality of the work
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • A strong sense of ownership of project(s) and tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being flexible in approach and ability to meet the requirements of the business
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Travel Requirements
  • Travel to hotels, resorts and home office as required (requires ability to drive in local markets, ability to maintain current passport to travel internationally)
