Functions
- Accurate preparation and distribution of regularly scheduled business performance reports.
- Perform regular audits and maintenance on all systems (PMS, CRS, RMS, sales and catering, channel managers) to ensure content and information is up to date and accurate.
- Assist in the validation of short-term and long-term forecasts and budgets.
- Conduct deep analysis of factors that influence business performance and present findings and recommended actions.
- Work collaboratively with Area Directors of Revenue Strategy to assist in the implementation of effective revenue generation strategies.
- Work with the property, regional, and home office teams to develop and execute results-driven action plans.
- Monitor portfolio hotels’ defined competitive sets and properties’ positioning within those respective sets.
- Work with the digital marketing team in the development and execution of marketing plans aimed at both long-term positioning as well as short-term need generation tactics.
- Work directly with key partners to ensure systems are all optimized (particularly Opera, IDeaS and Synxis).
- Leverage RMS(Revenue Management System) to identify booking trends by segment, room category, and day of the week and recommend any adjustments necessary.
- Be able to influence change and demonstrate a sense of accountability during all interactions with key stakeholders.
- Partner with Senior Business Analyst on the development of automated reporting and database derived tools to support field revenue generation teams.
- Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
Qualifications
- College degree (BS or higher)
Desirable
- Minimum of 3-years experience in the hospitality industry (preferably revenue management)
- Previous experience in either an area or regional role is preferred but not required
- College degree in hospitality or finance is preferred by not required
Skills
- Highly skilled in Excel/Google Sheets, particularly in a highly networked file environment.
- Highly skilled in property operations, revenue management & distribution technologies (PMS, RMS, CRS)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Independent worker
- Confidence in influencing key stakeholders on strategy
- Must be able to understand and evaluate complex data from various sources and communicate results clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to understand demand, and leverage predictive modeling tools to identify effective pricing and distribution deployment
- High level Synxis experience is preferred but not required
- Working exposure to VBA or Google Scripts preferred
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred
- Opera, IDeaS experience is preferred but not required
