OUR PROPERTY
Auberge Resorts Collection, a leader in ultra-luxury boutique hotels, is expanding further in Europe. In this new role, we are looking for an individual who is excited by the opportunity to position and lead the sales and marketing efforts for two one-of-a-kind properties being added to the portfolio: Collegio alla Querce in Florence and another hotel to be announced in France.
ROLE SUMMARY
Join our team as Area Director of Sales & Marketing and become one of the authors of our story. We are looking for a person with 10 to 15+ years of experience in hotel and resort sales & marketing at the property level and has an entrepreneurial approach to business, is an inspiring sales leader, passionate about delivering results, wants to try new ideas and create new experiences and is collaborative in their approach. This is a role for someone who wants to create their mark on the growing ARC business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This person will oversee a sales and marketing team and be responsible for delivering topline revenues and gaining market share for the two new properties in Europe. They will need to be a hands on leader also involved in direct sales and marketing efforts for the property

Create the unique property positioning and develop strategic marketing and sales plans against all segments to include transient, group, and social events

Set direction and manage Public Relations agencies and social media efforts to develop an exciting launch plan and ensure the execution of the plans

Collaborate with Operations on building out one-of-a-kind experiences and partnerships to life to bring the unique property positioning to life in the pre-opening phase

Lead the Group and Leisure Sales teams to ensure booking goals are achieved

Determine budgets and annual plans for all Sales and Marketing activities

Collaborate and be a strong influencer and communicator with SVP Ops, General Managers and home office discipline leaders and act as the key marketing contact for owners
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10-15 years in sales and marketing roles including experience in experientially driven high-end hotels
- Is driven, innovative and passionate about the craft of sales and marketing. Has a curious mind, is a strong multi-tasker who finds opportunities where others find problems. Someone who 'rolls-up their sleeves' to get it done and inspires others with their vision and acumen.
- Has a strong understanding of the style, design, and nuance of luxury that is required to create a distinctive brand for each property.
- Collaborative and has strong influencing skills
- Is well networked with the European Travel Advisor Community required and connections with the US Community desired.
- Demonstrated success in building brands for hotels and delivering results (ideally smaller independent brands)
- Preferable to speak Italian and/or French
