Education: One (1) year of vocational school training in electrical or mechanical engineering drafting.
Months/Years of Experience: Fifteen (15) years of applicable experience in three-dimensional (3D) computer aided design (CAD).
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. A valid driver's license. Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance. Must have experience or, at least, a strong familiarity with 13M MIL-STD drawings and specified education and experience requirements.
Skills Needed: Must possess qualifications and / or particular expertise that is exceptional and / or highly unique. SMEs typically perform the following types of functions: Initiates, supervises, and / or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and / or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; discusses need or problems with clients; supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
Duties: Support the Advanced Instrumentation Products Division (ECA) with mechanical design, CAD modeling, and drawings. Provide SME input into new designs and design changes. Responsible for creating and updating technical data pack.
Comments: COVID-19 vaccines or weekly testing may be required as a condition of employment.
