We are looking for a skilled and technically savvy individual to be our Engineering Lab Supervisor. You will have a diverse background and a passion for problem solving!

Your day-to-day may look like:
  • Plan, direct and communicate all activities and personnel associated with the engineering lab. Manage and maintain all lab equipment and facilities. Recommend new capital for productivity gains. Communicate plans and status to management.
  • Attends meetings for work-loading and project status.
  • Performs troubleshooting and general diagnostic testing using typical electronics lab equipment.
  • Prepares test equipment justifications and material request forms.
  • Captures relevant data and facilitates generation of test reports.
  • Collaborates with engineering to interpret product test requirements.
  • Develops test plans in compliance with DO-160 for certification of aerospace products.
  • Orchestrates test programs among internal and external resources to complete on schedule and budget.
  • Prepares workload and project schedules.
  • Schedules and administers tester fabrication for in plant use and customer orders.
  • Develops, maintains and trains technicians on lab test procedures, job functions and new skills.
  • Actively drive continuous improvement; develop and execute ideas for enhanced efficiency, productivity, and cost savings
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational and lab analytical issues.
  • Initiate ideas and solutions to enhance lab equipment performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate and communicate all activities and recorded data with engineering team in clear manner.
  • Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
  • Associate's degree or higher in Electronics or graduate of relevant technical school
  • 5+ years of practical experience in the planning and execution of DO-160 testing
  • 2+ years of progressive experience supervising technical staff
  • Experience with DO-160 and MIL-STD testing and environmental testing
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment and/or in an R&D testing center
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office software package.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes such as assembly and avionics, engineering lab equipment.
Nice to have, but not necessary:
  • Strong initiative to learn.
  • Ability to work with all types of mechanical test equipment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with little supervision, adapt to changes and to instruct or lead other personnel.
  • Experience with ASTM structures standards strongly preferred.
The target wage/salary range for this role is $115,000.00 depending on education and experience.
