Role Summary
Join our team as an Assistant Front Office Manager for Bishop's Lodge, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by providing support to the Front Office Manager in the day to day management of the front office department overseeing all guest experiences.

Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day hotel operations within the Front Office 
  • Assist Front Office Manager with the monitoring of the performance of the hotel through verification, maintenance, and analysis of OPERA and Unifocus.
  • Maintain a culture that assures consistent guest satisfaction by completing audits of Reservations, Check-In’s, Check-Outs, Concierge calls, etc.
  • Regularly evaluate processes to ensure they are being performed properly by the team and coach and counsel
  • Maintain the training program and ensure it is being followed and each Team Member is trained properly
  • Maintain product and service standards in line with Bishop’s Lodge  / Forbes expectations by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints.
  • Work as an active member of the management team. Creating professional relationships and active involvement with all hotel operations, including but not limited to; daily, and weekly management meetings, and support to all team members, including Manager on Duty Shifts.
  • Assist Front Office Manager with scheduling, training, payroll, etc.

Skills and Abilities

  • Great communication skills
  • Confidence and ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
Required Qualifications
  • One to three years’ Front Desk Agent experience in luxury hospitality
  • Degree or Certification in Hospitality
