Role Summary
Join our team as a Housekeeping Coordinator for Bishop's Lodge, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by ensuring organized communication within the Housekeeping team.

Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Generate operational reports for the coordination of the housekeeping department
  • Handle telephone calls and ensure all messages, information, and requests are logged 
  • Communicate promptly and accurately to provide prompt delivery of excellent service for both internal and external guest  
  • Maintain effective records and filing systems; completing all administrative reports accurately and in a timely manners process request and delegate work assignments, while adhering to Auberge standards 
  • 30% Assist housekeeping supervisor in taking a lead role in the coordination of all housekeeping employees, including office opening and closing
  • Maintain complete knowledge of housekeeping services, outlets, hotel areas, hotel areas, / features and hours of operations, follow all Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, and executing special guest requests. 
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space

Skills and Abilities

  • Able to read and write in English 
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent grooming
  • Confidence and ability to perform under pressure 
  • Must have the skills to clean and organize the department storage 
Required Qualifications
  • One year of housekeeping experience 
  • Prior experience in a luxury hotel preferred
  • Bi-lingual preferred
