Brinderson, a Brock Group, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the Pacific Northwest area.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Work under the direction of a Foreman. Individual must possess an elevated level of skill in the industrial maintenance/turnaround/construction/or mechanical environment.

TYPICAL DUTIES:
  • Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its Values.
  • Always represents the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Human and Organizational Performance (HOP).
  • Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment — Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial refinery equipment or processing machinery or equipment.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of Refinery machinery or equipment.
  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Remove % replace exchanger, vessels, pumps, and equipment.
  • Perform service on vessels, towers, tower internals, fin fans, and coolers.
  • Prepare Job Hazard Analysis & provide safety watch.
  • Perform duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control).
  • Perform rigging & signaling.
  • May be required to work from drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiently run several types of equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.)
  • Must be able to perform Turnaround duties when required.
  • Must be able to work independently after being properly directed by a supervisor and lead Helpers and Laborers through the job safely.
  • Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats, and FR Clothing.
  • Must know how to select the proper tools and equipment to complete a job.
  • Must work well with supervision.
  • May be required to train and supervise apprentices.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance experience.  Good understanding of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic and/or Boilermaker type work and knowledge of basic hand tools. Must be able to pass an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Craft proficiency test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.  Complete the Brinderson Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client/Site specific training. Must obtain and maintain an active status within the appropriate drug testing program. MUST have TWIC card.

Pay Range: $38.28 to $43.97 per hour
