As a Medical Assembler you perform various assembly operations, including deburring and all forms of hand finishing in a manner consistent with standard operating procedures (SOPs). You ensure that assembled components/parts are prepared and clean, and conform to customer specifications.  

MINIMUM  REQUIREMENTS  (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
Ability to use a variety of hand tools
Good hand/eye coordination
Capable of performing repetitive tasks
Meticulous attention to detail

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Fully understands production routers: material types and quantity required;
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying cleaning or assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathers parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and/or materials.
  • Assembles components, cleans parts and examines connections for correct fit; assures that parts have been cleaned as instructed.
  • Performs in-process inspection and testing to insure component compliance with customer requirements and specifications.
  • Notifies Production Supervisor/Medical Lead of any nonconformity or discrepancy of parts or materials.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Manufacturing environment. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment; long periods of sitting or standing, must be able to grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity to use hand tools, bend elbow and reach, and perform sight inspections.
