The PRODUCTION CONTROL SCHEDULER organizes and executes scheduling and planning processes to manage production jobs according to customer requirements and inventory strategies. She/he works with team members to ensure optimal delivery  performance by monitoring processing, using SAP software, from entry of the order thru shipment to the customer.

Job Functions
Process all incoming work orders for designated shop sections; review component part selection, step accuracy, due dates; calculate raw material requirements, select and commit appropriated lots; prepare all routers for production.

Expedite customers' rush orders and stock orders in production. Monitor the timely processing of new work orders and the closing of completed orders by reviewing weekly reports.

Adjust open work orders as required by production, customer service, and other departments. Create and process new work orders when required.

Help to develop and maintain various production control, scheduling, time study, engineering, and job costing systems.
Assist in performing coworkers' processing duties when necessary.

Perform the above functions and any other assignments in a timely, professional and systematic manner.


  • Associates / Bachelor’s Degree or experience in Supply Chain, production planning or purchase order processing.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous scheduling experience using an MRP / ERP system a must (SAP experience preferred).
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Ability to multi-task
Physical Demands
Majority of time is spent in office area utilizing phone, computer and printer/fax.  Time also spent on production floor monitoring products begin manufactured and discussing progress with Managers, Supervisors, Machinists, and Inspectors.
