B & G Manufacturing is currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to join Human Resources to process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees.  Must have ADP Workforce Now experience and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.  He/She will also assist with other special projects within the Human Resources area. 

Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:
  • Perform payroll department operations to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Calculate and process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
  • Manage and process garnishments, child support orders, and other special payroll deductions
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Research, resolve and communicate payroll discrepancies
  • Maintain time and attendance system and provide related training
  • Complete new hire set up and maintain employee records in the payroll system
  • Distribute checks to employees
  • Prepare and process verifications of employment and government inquiries/reports
  • Assist with other special projects within Human Resources
Payroll Administrator Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred
  • 1-3 years of payroll experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong PC skills including intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Strong knowledge of federal/state regulations and payroll best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast paced setting with frequent interruptions
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a customer service attitude
Physical Demands
Majority of time spent in office area sitting at a desk, utilizing phone, computer and printer/fax.
