We are looking for a CREATIVE TOOL & DIE MACHINIST to Join Our Team!
Our Tool & Die Machinist is self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently. Applying his/her expertise for creating short run specialty components, tooling and machine parts, our Tool & Die Machinist frequently works from sketches and rough drawings to manufacture unique components for tooling or machinery.
Set up and operate various manual and CNC machines in a safe and productive manner.
Assure that finished components conform to required specifications.
Maintain accuracy of related records.
Maintain an awareness of changing machining/tool developments; inform supervisors of changes; train employees as needed.
Assist machine shop supervisor, manufacturing engineers and production personnel in the development of new or modified machinery and tooling.
Make recommendations for improvements or changes that will increase efficiency and productivity.
5 years of experience in a Tool Shop or equivalent
Able to read and understand part drawings and work methodically
Possess a strong mechanical aptitude for problem solving techniques
Able to read and operate precision measuring instruments
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Manufacturing environment. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment; Ability to position self to move, install/takeout, adjust, position, measure, and handle materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
