Position Summary:
The Vice President of Business Development, manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Works independently and can manage a diverse team supporting multiple companies and service lines.

Primary Duties:
  • Executes strategic plan with short and long range goals to meet objectives, and enlists support from operations, senior management and various other organizations and departments.
  • Creates and executes annual business plan and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Responsible for establishing customer relationships
  • Assembles deliverables prepared before passing to client in order to solicit business.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of business capabilities, and identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate line of business.
  • Effectively conveys our message in written/ verbal business development discussions.
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
  • Responsible for establishing customer relationships
  • Accountable for knowing and understanding the “well being” of assigned plant sites.
  • Identifies customer issues and works with the operational lead to provide resolution
  • Utilizes subject matter experts within the business development function.
  • Insures assigned action items are completed within the timeframe identified from the account management side.
  • Cultivates strong collaborative relationships with operations teams to benefit both the customer and the organization.
  • Manages Sales Force to track and prepare reports of business opportunities.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote services.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or 8+ years in related experience
  • Specialty services background preferred (maintenance services, painting, insulation, scaffolding)
  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application.
  • Ability to demonstrate conflict resolution and strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with various levels of management, customers, and parts of operations
  • Proficient with business technical writing and creating unique and professional presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in interpreting and applying company policies to issues and problems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Travel often required to regional offices, jobsites and client meetings
