Position Summary:

This highly skilled leader will be responsible for managing multiple large-scale projects, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of construction and maintenance activities to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-efficient services to our customers.
Reporting directly to the General Manager/Vice President of Operations, the Regional Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the successful execution of projects across their assigned region. Required Qualifications:
- College degree or at least 10 years of direct industry experience in a management role.
- PMP Certificate an asset.
- Craft knowledge in scaffolding, insulation, fireproofing and painting (preferred) or equivalent plant operations/maintenance experience.
- History of providing leadership and vision in major projects or initiatives.
- Posses advanced troubleshooting and communication skills to solve complex problems.
- Excellent knowledge of balance sheets and Company core computer systems (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and concise communication in written and oral form
- Excels at operating in a fast pace and diverse environment.
- Frequent travel is required to job sites throughout the province.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in diverse workgroups and settings
Essential Functions:
- Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business
- Responsible for managaging the Capital Region (Edmonton) and surrounding area
- Responsible for the financial success of the business unit
- Responsible for the management of multiple accounts and clients.
- Ability to oversee multi-discipline projects of various sizes.
- Ability to set direction, communicate Brock’s vision and management process while inspiring, motivating and leading people toward achieving and exceeding organization goals.
- Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing short term and long-term goals and objectives.
- Hold direct reports accountable for HSE performance, cost and execution performance and verify that site teams are executing their responsibilities properly.
- Directly responsible for the development of new business within the operations group, both independently, and in collaboration with the BD team by fostering a culture of growth and a focus on an ongoing need for team members to be accountable for their business development efforts.
- Evaluate current business strategies, determining the viability of changing management initiatives.
- Continuously review and monitor critical ongoing project information specific to budgets, timelines, and production to determine if targets and goals are being met.
- Presents information and helps train current operations, administrative management team, and personnel on company related procedures.
- The ability of understanding profit and loss statements
- Conducts process compliance assessments of field, administrative, and management procedures. Implements best practices.
- Consults with senior management and other line and administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives
- Develops and implements work processes to promote the effectiveness and consistency of results.
- Establish new business and client relationships while fostering current relationships to secure additional work and contributing to the growth of the organization.
- Directs and coordinates activities of personnel to ensure a project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
- Interacts with field/site management and corporate/functional management.
- Interpret and understand client Purchase Orders and/or Contracts
- Monitors field compliance with company procedures and financial targets.
- Resolves contract issues with customers with support as necessary from VP/GM.
- Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecasts data to determine department or division progress toward company goals and objectives.
- Supports site management in root causing and solving issues impacting the company including communicating with customers.
