Position Summary:
Brock Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Business Intelligence Analyst to support the development, integration, and maintenance of project reports and systems. In this role, you will contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle, including application configuration, design, integration, testing, and implementation. Position Summary:
Brock Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Business Intelligence Analyst to support the development, integration, and maintenance of project reports and systems. In this role, you will contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle, including application configuration, design, integration, testing, and implementation. The Junior Business Intelligence Analyst will report directly to the Project Controls reporting supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support project controls activities.
- Utilize SQL queries for data integration, transformation, and analysis.
- Create automated data refresh schedules to ensure timely delivery of updated reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and prepare customized reports as requested by Project Managers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project data.
- Provide expertise on Power BI best practices, data visualization techniques, and data governance standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within Project Controls using Power BI.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze project data.
- Experience in data modeling and transformation techniques within Power BI.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and the ability to communicate insights effectively.
- Familiarity with Project Controls principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A continuous learning mindset to stay updated with Power BI advancements and industry trends.
Asset Qualifications:
- Familiarity with finance principles and practices.
- Knowledge of SAP Business One, SQL, and Open API.
- Experience in creating and maintaining document control structures in SharePoint.
- Expertise in Excel VBA and process automation.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting.
